He was arrested under the following articles: Art. 130 of the Criminal Code (inciting enmity), Art. 363 (resisting arrest), and Art. 369 (insulting a government representative).
On March 21, the Homel Regional Court began hearing the criminal case of the poet and bard Alaksiej Ilinčyk, who was charged with slandering the president (part 2 of Art. 367), insulting the president (part 1 of Art. 368), and inciting social enmity (part 1 of Art. 130 of the Criminal Code).
On March 28, 2023, the Homel Regional Court issued a decision on the criminal case of Alaksiej Ilinčyk. He was charged with slandering the president (part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code), insulting the president (part 1 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code), and inciting enmity (part 1 of Art. 130 of the Criminal Code). The case was considered by Judge Alaksiej Chłyščankoŭ. The prosecutor asked for three years of imprisonment for Alaksiej Ilinčyk. Final decision: 2 and a half years of imprisonment in a low-security penal colony.
On June 23, 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs added Alaksiej Ilinčyk to the “List of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens or stateless persons involved in extremist activities.”
Alaksiej Ilinčyk fully served his sentence and was released on August 31, 2024.
